singapore, malaysia and australia. australia has given the c3 o ryan for the search effort. so far they have sited debris but that's unconfirmed. it's far from the flight path but it's unclear if that will actually be any debris but we also heard there were oil slicks tested but this area in the java sea is highly trafficked by oil tankers so that could have been anything. what we learned from mh-370 is you end up spotting a lot of debris and seeing oil slicks things you think might be involved that later turn out not to be involved in the plane crash so there's a lot of caution you need to take with initial reports. weather has been an issue here. that was part of the issue with what happened to the plane. the piloted called in about 45 minutes into the flight saying they wanted to go up to 38,000 feet to avoid bad weather in the area. there were thunderstorms coming through. what's confusing is that there were a number of other planes in the same area and none of them reported having these sorts of issues. there's a lot of questions as to what exactly happened in the final
